Philip Lopez is a sixth-generation native of the San Luis Valley in south-central Colorado, where he was introduced to the complexities of Colorado water law by irrigating alfalfa fields on the family cattle ranch.   He graduated from Adams State College in 2004, and the University of Colorado Law School in 2008.   During law school, Philip worked as a law clerk for the Natural Resources Division of the Colorado Attorney General's Office, and for Governor Ritter's Office of Legal Counsel.   From 2008 to 2010, he practiced with the law firm of Lester, Sigmond, Rooney & Schwiesow in Alamosa, Colorado, where he practiced in the areas of water law, municipal law, and general civil litigation.   Philip joined White & Jankowski as an associate in 2010, where his practice emphasizes water rights and natural resources law.
